The material properties according to the element type.

PENTAGON-2D has various material properties according to the element type.

  • plane strain elements : Elasticity, Elasto-plastic( Mohr-Coulomb, Drucker-Prager model), interface, Duncan-Chang model, anisotropic, orthotropic, transversely-isotropic, etc.
  • plane frame elements : Elasticity, hinged end node
  • plane truss elements : Elasticity, Strength property (compressive strength, tensile strength)
  • plane spring elements : Elasticity, Strength property (compressive strength, tensile strength)

 

Boundary condition and Load

About nodes, the boundary condition, the nodal mass and the nodal viscous damping can be specified and the prescribed displacement can be applied. 

The various loads can be applied according to the element type. 

  • plane strain elements : Body force, surface force( linear/parabola distribution, user defined distribution ), dynamic surface force, Excavation force, Nodal equivalent force, (applied load distribution factor) initial stress, total head, flux, review boundary (for searching phreatic surface), prestress, temperature.
  • plane truss elements : Body force, prestress, temperature
  • plane spring elements : prestress
  • plane frame elements : Body force, surface force( Uniform distribution or linear/parabola distribution ), nodal force(X-,Y-force and moment), prestress, temperature
